Information WhaleRanked receives

We receive the submitted public website or X profile, metadata read from that public destination, a pseudonymous Privy user identifier, source and destination wallet addresses, source and settlement transaction hashes, completed amount, and the minimum route records needed to prevent duplicate fulfilment and reconcile payments.

Payments

Privy provides pseudonymous authentication and optional embedded-wallet infrastructure. LI.FI provides wallet routing across the enabled EVM and Solana source networks. Bitcoin is not currently enabled for payment. WhaleRanked does not receive or store private keys or seed phrases and cannot move funds from a user-controlled wallet. Wallet addresses and transactions are public on their respective blockchains; each provider's privacy terms apply to its interface.

Traffic measurement

WhaleRanked records which public listing destination was opened and when, then publishes aggregated 24-hour and all-time click totals. The public board does not identify individual visitors.

Purpose, lawful use, and retention

Quote, wallet-ownership, wallet link or unlink security receipts, transaction-receipt, and ranking-effect records are used to perform the requested transaction, secure accounts, answer support requests, prevent duplicate processing, investigate exceptions and abuse, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Wallet-change receipts store an opaque account binding, an opaque wallet binding, a shortened wallet label, event type, and timestamp—not the full address or Privy account identifier.

Completed payment, refund, and accounting records are kept for a period that must be approved and published before checkout opens. Short-lived quotes and security/rate-limit data are deleted or de-identified when they are no longer reasonably needed, unless an investigation or legal duty requires longer retention.

Service providers and cross-border processing

WhaleRanked uses Vercel for application hosting, Neon for the private database, Privy for authentication and wallet infrastructure, LI.FI for route discovery and execution interfaces, independent blockchain RPC providers for settlement evidence, and public blockchains for transactions. These providers may process data outside South Africa under their own locations and safeguards. Public listing destinations also receive normal browser request data when a visitor chooses to open them.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access, correction, deletion where legally available, objection or restriction, and details of the information connected to a verified account or transaction. Some public blockchain records cannot be erased by WhaleRanked, but application records can still be corrected, restricted, or removed where law and fraud-prevention duties allow.

Include the relevant listing URL or transaction hash but never email a private key or seed phrase. You may also lodge a POPIA complaint through the Information Regulator's eServices portal.
